General booking conditions
When making the reservation, the costumer must fill the corresponding form correctly, namely: check in and check out dates, applicable rate, room type, as well as his personal data and payment information.
The costumer is fully responsible for all choices made and information provided, which must be complete, true and up-to-date.
To all reservations made will be assigned a code that should be referenced in the contacts to be made with the hotel.
The Douro Hotel Porto Antigo can make promotions and discounts on reservations made by the customer on the site, with punctual scope and limited time, or not, being subject to availability.
In order to benefit from them, may be requested the advanced payment of the reservation.
Fees
The making, alteration or cancellation of reservations, may be subject to the payment of fees, calculated according to the type of reservation, date of booking, alteration, cancellation and the applicable rates.
Accommodation
The prices presented are per room and per night, but may be presented per person or according to other characteristics, duly indicated on the site, in the moment of the booking.
If a reservation is made for a larger number of people than the normal capacity of the accommodation, an extra bed may have to be placed on it, which may not have the comfort and quality of the other beds in the accommodation and reduces the usable area (the same goes for children’s beds).
If a client present himself/herself with more people than indicated in the reservation to use the lodging, the hotel managers may refuse his/her entrance, situation for which the Douro Hotel Porto Antigo cannot be held responsible.
Meal plans and their specificities will be communicated to the client through the website when the reservation is made. If nothing is mentioned in the reservation, the breakfast is included.
If an overbooking situation occurs (more reservations than available rooms) at Douro Hotel Porto Antigo, the customer acknowledges and accepts that the hotel may place them in another hotel, of equal or higher category, with no additional cost to the customer and without the customer being entitled to any compensation for this reason.
The accommodation can be used from 2:00 p.m. on the check in date and should be left free until 12:00 a.m. on the check out day. Staying in the accommodation or other spaces reserved for guests, after the time of departure may lead to the payment of additional amounts by the customer.
Payment
In order to ensure the booking made, the customer must provide the credit card information, committing the Douro Hotel Porto Antigo to charge the amount corresponding to the first night booked, only if the customer doesn’t attend at the hotel on the check in date indicated in the reservation, or cancel it without the anticipation specified in the respective proof of reservation. This situation is expressly accepted and authorized by the customer.
The credit card information entered by the customer is only for the purposes described above.
If more convenient, the first night can be paid by bank transfer. In that case, the reservation is only validated after the hotel receives the proof of transfer in the e-mail address provided.
Credit card information or monetary deposits may be requested on the check in, so that possible F&B expenses can be assured.
Personal information
On the check in, the customer will be requested some personal data, that will be collected by Douro Hotel Porto Antigo and processed by it, complying with the current legislation in a strict manner.
Reviews
The Douro Hotel Porto Antigo has the right to change these policies and conditions in order to remain current and in accordance to the legislation.
